Director, Obstetric Anesthesiology (Medical Director Role - OB Only) The Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Minnesota is seeking a full-time board certified/eligible Obstetric Anesthesiologist to serve as Medical Director of Obstetric Anesthesiology. This position is focused exclusively on clinical leadership, quality, and operations within Obstetric Anesthesiology. The University of Minnesota was one of only 39 institutions awarded the distinction of Center of Excellence in Obstetric Anesthesia by the Society of Obstetric Anesthesia and Perinatology (SOAP) in 2019. This designation reflects excellence in clinical practice, education, and patient-centered care. Assignment and Duties The appointment for the Medical Director of Obstetric Anesthesiology will be Part Time .10 FTE, which equates to 8 hours per pay period (4 hours per week). The appointment for your clinical service will be Part Time .9 cFTE for a total FTE of Full Time 1.0 FTE. As the Medical Director of Obstetric Anesthesiology, you will: Lead and build upon a dynamic team that includes 16 faculty members and rotates 8-10 anesthesiology residents annually Take the program to the next level by constructing and implementing strategies for programmatic growth across the board regarding clinical, educational, and research programs Clinical duties performed at University of Minnesota Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN. The clinical site is associated with a Level IV NICU at University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital.
