In this role, you'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teamsand contribute to projects that span healthcare facilities, corporateheadquarters, laboratories, museums, government buildings (local, state,and federal), higher education campuses, and infrastructureimprovements. What We're LookingFor: Central Utility Plant design and steam systems. Expert knowledge ofapplicable codes and regulations. Extensive understanding of standardengineering practices, techniques, and procedures. Provenproblem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively with internal teamsand external clients to address complex engineering challenges. Beresponsible for HVAC engineering design including: calculating heatingand cooling loads, select equipment, layout duct and piping, create andedit project details, and write and edit project engineeringspecifications. Lead client management and team coordination.Participate in design review meetings and workshops. Resolve a varietyof complex design challenges including conflicting Owner and projectrequirements, application of different system types, or challengingfield conditions. Research design options and document findings for theproject team. Assure drawings and designs are in accordance with localcodes and design standards. Coordinate with architectural andengineering disciplines as applicable. What you will need to have: B.S.degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering. 8 yearsminimum of consulting engineering experience with emphasis on CentralUtility Plant design for multiple client types. Professional Engineerregistration recognized by a state licensing board. Steam and Hot WaterBoiler Plant systems. Chiller plants of 1,000 tons or greater. Knowledgein building controls...
