We're seeking a Plumbing Designer or PlumbingEngineer to join our growing Mechanical team. At HGA, you'llcollaborate with a multidisciplinary group of architects, engineers, anddesigners on meaningful projects spanning healthcare, science &technology, cultural institutions, corporate campuses, andinfrastructure. WhatYou'll Do: Design plumbing systems including domestic water, sanitarywaste/vent, medical gas, storm drainage, and specialty systems.Collaborate with team members across disciplines from concept throughconstruction. Contribute to technical documentation, specifications, andcode compliance. Leverage BIM/Revit and other digital tools to developcoordinated designs. What We're Looking For: Experience in plumbingdesign or engineering (consulting experience preferred). Workingknowledge of applicable codes and industry best practices. Familiaritywith Revit and engineering design tools. Strong communication andcollaboration skills. In this role you will: Be responsible forplumbing design including calculating building loads for all plumbingsystems, select equipment, layout piping, create and edit projectdetails, and write and edit project engineering specifications.Participate in design review meetings and workshops. Resolve a varietyof complex design challenges including conflicting Owner and projectrequirements, application of different system types, or challengingfield conditions. Research design options and document findings for theproject team; Assure drawings and designs are in accordance with localcodes and design standards. Coordinate with architectural and otherengineering disciplines as applicable. You will need to have:Bachelor's degree in architectural engineering, mechanical engineeringor related field desired.
