The employee will work directly with athletics staff, officials, coaches and participants in league and camps settings. They will be taught the skills necessary to officiate and manage athletic activities. The duties and skills learned may include but will not be limited to the following: + Gain knowledge of permit processing + Learn to become a Certified OHSAA Official + League Scheduling + Field Maintenance + Sports Management + Fulfill Minimum hourly in service training such as Lindsay's Law, Concussion Training, and CPR + Assist with opening, closing, maintenance checklists and procedures as required + Gain knowledge of Athletics rules and regulations according to the policies of Cincinnati Recreation Commission The employee will implement recreation activities either by providing direct service or by providing assistance to those implementing recreation activities. May assist in the planning and promotion of an activity / program or be responsible for the development, planning and implementation of an athletic program such as Esports, Community Golf, Camps for Champs, Soccer United, and Ref n Ready. Minimum Qualifications (KSAs) Youth 14 to 18 years of age meeting City residency and household income guidelines. Must have a valid work permit (14 and 15 years old) or parental consent (16 and 17 years old). Must complete application and submit supplemental parental forms. Must attend 20 hour orientation/training session. Required Education and Experience None, except where required by employer.
