Front Window DispatcherLocation: Hapeville, GADepartment: DispatchReports To: Dispatch ManagerStatus: Full-TimePay: $18.00-$19.00 per hourExperience Level: Entry-Level (with growth opportunity)------------------------------------------------------------------------ Position OverviewA National Transit is seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized Front Window Dispatcher to support daily dispatch operations in a fast-paced transportation environment. This role is essential to ensuring routes run efficiently, drivers are supported in real time, and service commitments are met with accuracy and professionalism.The ideal candidate is calm under pressure, communicates clearly, and can manage multiple priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail. This position offers hands-on exposure to operations, scheduling, and compliance, with opportunities for growth within the organization.------------------------------------------------------------------------ What Youll Do Route Coordination and Daily Reporting- Coordinate, adjust, and release daily routes to ensure service accuracy and efficiency- Prepare and distribute required daily reports, including: - Morning report by 7:00 AM - 11:30 AM report - Full off-the-lot report by 5:00 PM- Monitor routes throughout the day and make real-time adjustments as needed- Maintain roll-out details through the PM shift- Compile prior-day productivity and on-time performance reports- Complete Friday-Sunday reporting and submit on Mondays------------------------------------------------------------------------ Driver and Operations Support- Update and manage operator assignments in Trapeze under the daily run tab- Identify and correct route or trip discrepancies- Review routes continuously to ensure scheduled lunch breaks- Contact operators scheduled for next-day overtime- Monitor driver sign-ins and uniform compliance throughout the day- Support drivers with navigation, destinations, and operational questions------------------------------------------------------------------------ Communication and Incident Management- Professionally answer and manage incoming calls- Maintain proper radio communication and correct use of 10-codes- Respond to accidents and incidents promptly and according to procedure- Document all driver callouts, including early/late starts and finishes------------------------------------------------------------------------ Administrative and Compliance Responsibilities- Scan and email daily manifests to management- Submit daily timesheets to payroll- Maintain and update the cash mobility report- Print next-day manifests- Prepare on-time compliance reports at 8:00 PM and 11:00 PM------------------------------------------------------------------------ Shift Availability- Mid-Day Shift (Option 1): 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM- Mid-Day Shift (Option 2): 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM- Closing Shift: 4:00 PM - 2:40 AM------------------------------------------------------------------------ Training Schedule (6 Weeks)- Weeks 1-2: Morning Shift (2:40 AM - 10:00 AM)- Weeks 3-4: Mid-Day Shift (10:00 AM - 6:00 PM or 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM)- Weeks 5-6: Closing Shift (4:00 PM - 2:40 AM)This rotational training ensures full exposure to all dispatch operations and prepares team members for flexible scheduling needs.------------------------------------------------------------------------ What Were Looking ForRequired Qualifications- Strong verbal and written communication skills- Excellent judgment, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities- Customer-service indset with professional phone etiquette- Ability to work independently and stay organized in a fast-paced environment- Prior experience in dispatch, scheduling, customer service, or operationsPreferred Qualifications- 3-5 years of relevant experience- Experience with Trapeze scheduling software- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills------------------------------------------------------------------------ Why Join A National TransitWe believe in developing talent and promoting from within.
