Job#: 3016929Job Description:u00a0JOB TITLE: Controls MECH BIM Designer IIDURATION: 6 MONTHSLOCATION: ONSITE IN SEATTLE WAPAY RATE: $64 - $74 HOURLYu00a0u00a0u00a0Job Description:Key job responsibilities Daily responsibilities will include utilizing Revit to design the BIM model for Mechanical Controls Systems of Data Centers. You must be able to work independently and work within a team environment to accomplish assigned tasks. This includes working with internal groups as well as external suppliers and consultants, manufacturers, vendors, and contractors. Your duties will include:u2022 Be self-motivated and work within the Controls Design, MEP group, as well as within other teams.u2022 Preparing and developing detailed Revit models of Control Systems relating to Mechanical building systems.u2022 Developing & publishing construction documentation for Control Systems relating to Mechanical designs in a fast-paced environment to meet scheduled deliverables.u2022 Updating and modifying the new Controls models and construction documents as required after first of a kind (FOAK) creation.u2022 Assist with creating and maintaining standard regional BIM templates.u2022 Participate in design coordination meetings with other trades for clash detection and resolution.u2022 Work on concurrent projects in multiple geographical locations.u2022 Assist the project team with information exchange processes between internal and external customers.u2022 Provide coordination support for information requests during construction phases.u2022 Recording and reporting of key metrics to management.u2022 5+ years of design/engineering experience of Controls or Mechanical building systems for mission critical facilities.u2022 4+ years' experience using Revit for producing engineering BIM models and construction drawings.u2022 Practical knowledge and understanding of Controls, Mechanical codes (IPC, or UPC) and safety regulations.This role is Controls focused to create a BIM controls model. The controls scope is closely related to the existing MECH BIM models but currently the controls content is just an overlay.
