JOB REQUIREMENTS: We are in search of a Field Service Technician II tojoin our growing team. This role will have the knowledge required totest, diagnose, maintain, and repair packaging machinery. Work requiresknowledge of various trades and would perform a wide variety ofelectrical and mechanical maintenance and service work on various typesof packaging equipment. This technician will have had exposure to mostManufacturers Secondary packaging equipment. Requires PLC communicationsand program modification capabilities. Responsibilities Include: Diagnose, Identify, and Troubleshooting Industrial Packaging Equipment. Conduct installation, maintenance, and repair work and run/leadInstallation Crews. Ability to read and interpret technical manualsand blueprints. Face-to-Face Customer Service - Maintaining open andinformative communication with customers to ensure diagnosis and statusof repair updates are given to establish customer trust and confidence. Professionally build customer relationships through solution-orientedcommunication and service, both on-site and phone support. Identifyand participate in sales opportunities such as Maintenance plans,retrofits, spare parts kits, or replacement equipment to customers aswarranted, and work with the sales team to identify sales opportunities. Provide service reports, service and parts quotes, tech stockinventory, and expense reports to the service manager on all activitiesand complete them promptly. Properly document, label, and return alldefective parts resulting from the repair. Comply with all safetypolicies, practices, and procedures always. Work as a member of thelocal and national teams to provide efficient service to all accounts. Supervise and train junior maintenance staff. Experience in repairor packaging field products required - Firm understanding of CaseErectors, Stretch, and Shrink film equipment. Perform film audits andbe able to identify film issues and resolutions. Read electrical andmechanical schematics and other documentation to prepare for assignedservice calls, installations, and customer training. Must beself-motivated with the ability to lead a team and or work & think wellindependently. Complete and pass all factory certification courses asthe Field Service Training Program dictates. Excellent written andoral skills required for service call reporting. Strong service timemanagement skills preferred. Basic PLC skills - can write simplelogic, interface with equipment and can make simple program changes. Hassuccessfully attended formal PLC training. Must be proficient inMicrosoft Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and Salesforce CRM. Mustmaintain up-to-date driver's License, registration, insurance, and gooddriving record. Must be able to drive a forklift. Must be able touse a smartphone and any related applications required for the job ortimekeeping. Supply and maintain your own tools and test equipmentwith the appropriate calibration ensuring all tools and car stock partsare kept safe and secure. The ability to lift and carry a toolboxthat can weigh up to 50 lbs. The Ideal Candidate Will Have: Associates or higher degree from a vocational school or college with afocus in the Mechanical or Electrical field and/ or 5+ years relevantand recent experience working in Secondary Packaging Equipment. PLCExperience. Must be efficient in troubleshooting electrical andmechanical components on a variety of industrial packaging equipment A desire to learn, practice, and deliver a quality customer service. Ability to work independently. Experience in repair or packagingfield products is a plus. Excellent written and oral skillspreferred.
