Weu2019re looking for a Mid-Level Environmental Engineer/Geologist/Scientist to continue their career at Jacobs - where weu2019ll empower you to learn and grow in the delivery of environmental site characterization and remediation projects for government and global private-sector clients to make our worldbetter.Based in the Midwest (Kansas City, MO, Saint Louis, MO, Minneapolis, MN, Chicago, IL, Milwaukee, WI, or Cincinnati, OH), youu2019ll participate in a variety of field and office tasks related to planning and implementing environmental investigation and remediation projects. Youu2019ll learn from other experienced staff who are ready to mentor you, and youu2019ll pass your knowledge on to others. Youu2019ll gain valuable experience in soil and groundwater sampling as well as drilling and subcontractor oversight, spending about 50% of your time in the field. Youu2019ll balance your field work with some time spent in the office evaluating and reviewing data, writing reports and preparing project documents, and coordinating logistics for field activities. Youu2019ll be juggling multiple tasks, so weu2019ll rely on you to prioritize effectively, keeping the big-picture in mind.Here's What You'll Do: Lead and Manage Field Projects Collaborate and Coordinate: Work with subcontractors, internal support staff, and subject matter experts. Technical Excellence: Analyze data, prepare technical reports, and design and implement pilot studies and remedial systems. Mentorship and Growth: Provide motivation and direction to project teams, and benefit from mentorship opportunities to help you grow your career at Jacobs. Bacheloru2019s degree in engineering, geology, or other closely related degree 5-10 years of professional experience with delivering environmental site characterization and remediation projects, including fieldwork methodology/procedures and assessment/evaluation of data for various environmental media. Experience working on project sites and overseeing subcontractors. Experience leading teams toward a common goal. 40-hr HAZWOPER certification or the ability to attain this certification.Ideally, Youu2019ll Also Have: Masteru2019s degree in engineering, geology, or other closely related degree Professional registration (e.g., Professional Engineer or Professional Geologist) or the intent to obtain and maintain professional certification. Effective verbal and written communication skills with coworkers, contractors, and clients. Strong attention to detail when conducting field work and evaluating data.
