Members of NHBP or other federally-recognized tribes are encouraged to apply.u00a0Position Summaryu00a0The Associate Project Manager will assume the responsibility of conducting research / performing investigations for the purpose of identifying, abating, or eliminating sources of pollutants or hazards that affect either the environment or public health while utilizing knowledge of various scientific disciplines, may collect, synthesize, study, report, and recommend action based on data derived from measurements or observations of air, soil, water, soil vapor, and other sources. The position is located in Grand Rapids, MI.u00a0u00a0Responsibilities:u2022u00a0 u00a0u00a0Plan, coordinate, and conduct environmental project activities both in the field and office.u2022u00a0 u00a0u00a0Prepare permit applications.u2022u00a0 u00a0u00a0Manage field sampling activities.u2022u00a0 u00a0u00a0Ensure quality control of project deliverables.u2022u00a0 u00a0u00a0Prepare technical compliance reports and regulatory plans.u2022u00a0 u00a0u00a0Conduct site evaluations and write corresponding reports.u00a0u2022u00a0 u00a0u00a0Interpret collected data and environmental records for reporting and proposals.u2022u00a0 u00a0u00a0Communicate scientific or technical information to clients, the public, organizations, or internal audiences through oral briefings, written documents, workshops, conferences, training sessions, or public hearings.u2022u00a0 u00a0u00a0Monitor effects of contamination and recommend means of prevention or control.u2022u00a0 u00a0u00a0Collect, synthesize, analyze, manage, and report environmental data, such as soil, soil vapor, or water samples.u2022u00a0 u00a0u00a0Review and implement environmental technical standards, guidelines, policies, and formal regulations that meet all appropriate requirements.u2022u00a0 u00a0u00a0Provide scientific or technical guidance, support, coordination, or oversight to governmental agencies, environmental programs, industry, or the public.u2022u00a0 u00a0u00a0Provide technical guidance and training to junior technical staff and field personnelQualificationsu2022u00a0 u00a0u00a0Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Environmental Science, Geology, Biology, Environmental Engineering, or other related fieldu2022u00a0 u00a0u00a0A minimum of three (3) years of experience in environmental consulting or related field, including managing and driving entire project life cycle, maintaining client relationships, working with a team to ensure work is executed according to environmental regulations, conducting field events (e.g., soil gas sampling, groundwater sampling, or soil sampling).u2022u00a0 u00a0u00a0Proficiency in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)u2022u00a0 u00a0u00a0Ability to pass an extensive background investigation, including but not limited to personal and professional financial history, nationwide criminal record search, credit check and other relevant background information deemed necessary by WDC and a pre-employment drug screen.u2022u00a0 u00a0u00a040-hour HAZWOPER and Asbestos inspector certification preferred but not required.u2022u00a0 u00a0u00a0Basic knowledge of Michigan environmental reg
