Whether enhancing existing transportation networks or pioneering new mobility solutions, DEA's knowledge helps shape a future where safe, efficient, convenient, and accessible mobility leads the way for sustainable growth and improved quality of life in our communities.The Bridges and Structures Practice is seeking a Part-Time Senior Bridge Engineer in Bellevue, WA.DEA's Bellevue, WA office is hiring a Part-Time Senior Bridge Engineer to lead and perform technical bridge engineering and to perform project management on bridge projects. Areas of work to include bridge planning, analysis and design, construction engineering, in-service inspection, preservation, and rehabilitation projects. A successful candidate will be able to assist project teams through the completion of various projects and task assignments in the role of Engineer, Task Leader, or Project Manager. In this role you will perform and/or check structural analyses and develop or check design calculations using AASHTO and other design codes for different bridge, transportation, and transit structural systems. Additionally, a successful candidate will have knowledge of bridge load rating practices, bridge field inspection, and reporting practices.What You'll DoKey Responsibilities:Lead and assist in the development of bridge design deliverables including concept reports, TS&L Reports, design calculations, construction plans, specifications, estimates, and construction schedulesManage projects to ensure excellence in project execution for on-time, on-budget deliverables of quality that meet or exceed the industry's standard of careChecking of engineering calculations, drawings, estimates, specifications, and construction schedule deliverables for accuracy and compliance with contractual requirementsProvide bridge design leadership and mentorship to junior engineers/designersSolve project problems in a team environment, particularly where project issues and challenges are significantly affected by the proposed structural solutionsProvide innovative solutions related to the design of transportation infrastructureExplore and implement technological trends in bridge engineeringManage, develop, and/or check load rating calculations and reportsParticipate in client and project development teamsDevelop and maintain relationships with owners, contractors, and sub-consultantsAssist pursuit champions and project managers in the development of proposal documentsCommunicate with clients and express the client's needs to project teamRepresent projects and the firm at meetings and conferencesMaintain and continue to develop the firm's reputation for technical excellence in bridge engineeringWhat You BringRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's of Science Degree in Civil/Structural EngineeringMinimum 8 years of bridge engineering experienceCurrent Professional Engineer registration in the United StatesProficiency in structural design software applications, with an emphasis on bridge design software, such as SAP2000, Midas Civil, LARSA 4D, PG Super, Conspan, LPile, BRASSProficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word and PowerPointExperience in seismic analysis and design of bridge structuresStrong written and oral communication skillsPositive and energetic team attitude and ability to lead an
