Job Title: Senior Specialist, Radio Frequency Design Engineer Job Code: 32608 Job Location: Plano, Texas Job Schedule: 9/80 (Off Every Other Friday) Job Description: As RF Circuit Design Engineer, you will be responsible for participating in the design, simulation, development, and testing of RF circuits, antenna systems or systems for use in Radar systems or other tactical military applications. L3Harrisu2019 Agile Development Group specializes in developing disruptive, next-generation technologies for advanced Unmanned Air Systems (UAS / UAV), advanced radar systems, next-generation weapon systems, and other RF sensor technologies using small company agility and big company experience. Essential Functions: u2022 Take responsibility for electrical design tasks including requirements analysis, specification generation, interface definition, component selection, circuit simulation, schematic capture, and board layout. u2022 Provide technical responsibility for schedule, cost, at the board or subsystem level u2022 Perform RF & Microwave (VHF through Ka) design synthesis at the board or subsystem level u2022 Perform simulation, breadboarding, testing & troubleshooting of RF circuits, functions and subsystems u2022 Develop test plans and procedures for RF subsystems u2022 Participate in peer reviews, preliminary design reviews, critical design reviews and other required design reviews u2022 Participate in interdisciplinary design teams and reviews u2022 Learn and follow company processes for product development, configuration management, purchasing, etc. u2022 Ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearances as required u2022 Physical Requirements: ability to lift up to 10 pounds u2022 Up to 10% travel may be required u2022 Other duties as required Qualifications: u2022 Active DoD Secret clearance u2022 Bacheloru2019s Degree in Electrical Engineering and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience or a Graduate Degree in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related RF electrical engineering design experience. u2022 3 + years of experience with RF and 3D EM Simulation and Modeling, Schematic Capture, Board Layout CAD tools u2022 4 years of demonstrable knowledge in practical RF system considerations such as path loss calculation, cascade noise figure, intercept point and power and corresponding tests for each u2022 4 years evidence of fluency with basic RF test equipment including Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, and Signal Generators u2022 4 + years of background with RF/Microwave circuit layout techniques with board level design experience in the RF or Microwave bands u2022 2 + years of experience with basic Radar performance concepts Preferred Additional Skills: u2022 Masteru2019s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field and/or equivalent experience desired u2022 Proficiency in python scripting u2022 Interest in leading a small technical team u2022 Excellent people skills to include collaborating in a multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team environment. u2022 Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, & presentation) u2022 Active RF component design u2022 Radar Systems Design experience u2022 Familiarity with other design and analysis software such as MatLab, AWR and CDS u2022 Knowledge of practical RF system considerations such as path loss calculation, cascade noise figure and intercept point L3Harris Technologies is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
