Lead Java Full Stack Engineer

Please note: _A few of our roles may require in-person interviews at Cognizant offices or client locations, depending on project or client needs_ _Cognizant will not sponsor H-1B or other U.S. work authorization for this role._ _In this role, you will:_ Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure applications using Java J2EE, Spring Boot, Microservices and one of the frontend end technologies u2013 React or Vue JS Build and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices to support front-end applications and third-party integrations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other developers, to deliver high-quality software solutions. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards. Perform unit testing, integration testing, and debugging to ensure application reliability and performance. Monitor and improve application performance, scalability, and security. Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and team meetings to share knowledge and improve processes. What you need to have to be considered: Full Stack developer with expertise in Java technologies and one frontend u2013 Angular or React or Vue Js Proficiency in Java J2EE with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles. Working experience in one of the front-end technologies like Angular or React, or Vue.js. Scripting u2013 Python is an added advantage Exposure in connectivity to Test Data Management Tools (ex. Genrocket) and provide self service capabilities for synthetic data generation Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and related Spring modules (e.g., Spring Security, Spring Data). Knowledge of building and consuming RESTful APIs and working with JSON/XML. Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and ORM frameworks like Hibernate. Experience with microservices architecture and containerization tools like Docker. Proficiency in version control systems like Git. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Skills Experience with AWS cloud platform Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI. Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies. Salary and Other Compensation: The annual salary for this position is between $81,000- $140,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
