Surgical Charge Specialist

Surgical Charge Specialist Responsibilities Responsible for balancing transactions between two computer systems, running daily revenue reports, and auditing charges for each surgery performed. It is a fast pace multitasking environment that requires interaction between anesthesia, finance, OR Clinical III Nurses, Materials Management, OR management and scheduling. Responsible for the Auditing and accurate processing of charges for all departments within surgical services including the auditing of the manual charges. Requires attention to detail and research of charging details, throughput of information and requires the knowledge of multiple computer software programs to dissect all data and integrate the information into the necessary reports. Thorough knowledge of the Cerner Charge services and working knowledge of Invision, Patent Surginet scheduling and documentation and Lawson inventory systems.
