Certification as an Emergency Medical Technician preferred. Six (6) months experience as a Nursing Assistant/Orderly or healthcare related position preferred.u00a0Certifications, Licenses or Registration required:u00a0 NAu00a0Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesResponsibilitiesu00a0Records vital signs accurately and reports any changes to the RN.u00a0 Performs venipuncture when ordered.Performs computerized EKGs according to policy and procedure and provides copies for the patient's chart and the heart forms RN of any unusual occurrences or changes in patient's condition.Provides comfort measures to patient and family members as needed.Orders, labels, delivers, and maintains records of lab specimens.Keeps assigned work area clean and stocked.Contributes to the efficient operation of the unit.u00a0 Demonstrates the goal of customer satisfaction through interaction with patient family members and other healthcare providers in a compassionate, respectful, courteous, confidential, and caring manner.Attends and participates in appropriate in-service programs, unit meetings, and quality improvement projects.The duties listed are general in nature and are examples of the duties and responsibilities performed and are not meant to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive.
