As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in developing AI-powered systems that enhance tax & accounting workflows through automation, intelligence, and seamless orchestration.About the Role:In this opportunity as a Senior Software Engineer - AI, you will:Implement complex AI systems, including multi-component pipelines, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems, and custom AI agents that power next-generation tax & accounting solutionsEnsure system quality and compliance by implementing comprehensive testing frameworks, monitoring tools, and ethical AI practices that maintain the highest standards of reliability and trustworthinessProactively identify issues and risks, make data-driven recommendations, and take corrective action to optimize system performance and mitigate potential challengesCollaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, UX, and Science to align AI features with product goals and translate functional requirements into robust technical specificationsConduct proof-of-concepts (POCs) to evaluate emerging technologies and explore the feasibility of AI solutions for innovative use casesAnalyze existing systems and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency, scalability, and overall system architectureContinuous Learning - Stay abreast of AI developments and encourage learning and adoption of relevant technologiesAbout You:You're a fit for the role of Senior Software Engineer - AI if you have the following required qualifications:5+ years of software engineering experience, including 1+ years focused on AI/MLProficiency in Python, with experience building web applications, distributed systems, and APIsExperience with AI/ML frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlowStrong understanding of AI/ML systems, including RAG architectures, AI agents, and agent-based/AI-driven systems; experience with AI APIs from providers like OpenAI and AnthropicExperience integrating AI models into production systems using APIs and data pipelines; knowledge of vector databases, embeddings, and search-based AIStrong understanding of machine learning principles, model evaluation, system design, and MLOps across the end-to-end lifecycle of AI-powered applicationsPassion for exploring new technologies and engineering paradigmsAdditional preferred qualifications include:1-2 years of AWS experience designing, deploying, and operating scalable cloud services (e.g., Lambda, S3, EC2 and related tools)#LI-ES1What's in it For You?Hybrid Work Model: We've adopted a flexible hybrid working environment (2-3 days a week in the office depending on the role) for our office-based roles while delivering a seamless experience that is digitally and physically connected.Flexibility & Work-Life Balance: Flex My Way is a set of supportive workplace policies designed to help manage personal and professional responsibilities, whether caring for family, giving back to the community, or finding time to refresh and reset.
