JOB REQUIREMENTS: Aircraft Painter Iin GAC Appleton Unique Skills: Workin a team setting Education and Experience Requirements High SchoolDiploma or GED required. 1 year of painting experience. PositionPurpose: The Aircraft Painter I prepares the aircraft for paint relatedoperations by performing tasks safely within schedule while meetingquality expectations. Job Description Principle Duties andResponsibilities: Essential Functions: Mask, sand, and prepare aircraftfor paint application. Apply glazing and sealing compounds inpreparation for final painting. Operate and maintain all types ofpreparation and priming equipment. Mix paints and primers. . Performleading edge sealant work in final detail. . Comply with all safety, 5S,and housekeeping policies. Use personal protective equipment and ensureaircraft interior is protected (PTP). Additional Functions: Properlycare for and maintain shop equipment and tools as assigned. . Complywith Paint shop standard practices. . Perform other duties as assigned.Other Requirements: Ability to read, write, speak, and understand theEnglish language. Ability to read and interpret blueprints andengineering documentation. Able to pass Pulmonary Function Test toobtain respirator certification. Ability to use tools, equipment, andmaterials in the aircraft painting process. Able to climb ladders andstairs, perform close tolerance work, work in small spaces lift up to 40pounds and work any shift. Must be computer literate. A workingknowledge of paint processes and products (lacquers, enamels, epoxies,urethanes, and acrylics). Must be able to read, write, speak, andunderstand the English language.
