About Your Role: As a Director of Customer Insights & Analytics at Dollar Treeu2019s corporate office, youu2019ll lead a high-performing insights and analytics function that delivers customer, category, and performance insights to drive enterprise merchandising and marketing strategies. With your leadership, the organization will leverage data-driven storytelling to uncover whitespace opportunities, improve full-funnel marketing effectiveness, and accelerate business growth. Your day-to-day job duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Strategic Leadership & Business Partnership: u2022 Operationalize all merchandising and marketing data and insights needs through a robust annual calendar, proactively addressing known business needs while maintaining agility for ad hoc leadership requests u2022 Serve as a strategic thought partner to senior merchandising and marketing leaders, translating complex insights into clear, compelling narratives that influence decision-making u2022 Lead enterprise-wide insights for quarterly deep dives, board of director updates, category performance reviews, voice-of-the-customer initiatives, and monthly customer sentiment reporting u2022 Leverage deep business and customer knowledge to proactively recommend strategies to drive incremental trips, sales, and long-term growth Customer & Marketing Insights: u2022 Lead quarterly customer qualitative research to deepen customer understanding and inform merchandising and marketing strategies u2022 Partner closely with Marketing to deliver reliable sales attribution across full-funnel marketing tactics u2022 Lead annual marketing mix modeling and brand health measurement initiatives in partnership with Big Chalk u2022 Improve marketing effectiveness through actionable insights derived from syndicated data, internal analytics, and customer research Data, Analytics & Supplier Management: u2022 Lead all external data and analytics supplier relationships, including Nielsen, Numerator, Circana, 1010, Epsilon, and Big Chalk u2022 Manage supplier contracts, work plans, and deliverables to ensure contractual obligations are met and value is maximized u2022 Stay current on insights and analytics industry trends and proactively evaluate new data sources and tools to enhance enterprise knowledge and capabilities Team Leadership & Development: u2022 Lead, coach, and develop a team of three direct reports, fostering a culture of curiosity, collaboration, innovation, rigor, and continuous improvement u2022 Ensure all insights requests are delivered on time and within the approved annual budget, including monthly budget tracking and reporting u2022 Establish a regular cadence of training and insight sharing to elevate data literacy across the broader organization Your Required Skills and Experience: u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree required; MBA preferred u2022 Minimum of 8u201310 years of experience in customer insights, analytics, or data analysis across brands or retailers u2022 5+ years of leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to develop and retain high-performing teams u2022 Deep expertise in merchandising and marketing data, including hands-on experience with syndicated data partners and retailer-facing dashboards u2022 Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to synthesize large, complex data sets into logical conclusions and actionable recommendations u2022 Proven ability to collaborate effectively with senior merchandising and marketing leaders u2022 Experience managing external suppliers and agency partners with an ownership mindset to drive innovation and incremental value u2022 Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels of the organization u2022 Demonstrated ability to build strong partnerships, manage expectations, and communicate insights clearly across the enterprise u2022 Track record of sound judgment, strong leadership, and success attracting, hiring, and retaining top talent Preferred Requirements: u2022 MBA or advanced degree u2022 Experience supporting both retail merchandising and full-funnel marketing analytics u2022 Demonstrated passion for staying current with insights, analytics, and data innovation trends Our success is a team effort u2014 when we reach our goals, youu2019ll be eligible for a yearly bonus Your Perks and Benefits: We offer a wide variety of rewards to support your health, wealth, and mental well-being.
