Enterprise Technology is the center of excellence for digital technology at Blue Origin, providing oversight and governance to align technology and business strategies.Join Blue Origin's manufacturing execution systems team as a Software Development Engineer II developing manufacturing execution solutions to drive efficiency throughout the factory. You will be a key member of a team supporting reusable rocket manufacturing by creating software to enable real-time analysis and decision-making. We are constantly innovating in the ways we are accelerating the delivery of products using groundbreaking software and hardware technologies. We use the latest AWS, Java, React, and GenAI platforms to build distributed, highly available systems to achieve our goals.We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and dedication to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is requiredSpecial Mentions:Relocation providedInterviews will include a technical assessment included demonstrating knowledge of AI tools for software developmentMultiple positions availableResponsibilities:Work as a fullstack engineer to develop and support applications that enable manufacturing teams to efficiently implement, track, and streamline build processesContribute to the design, implementation, and deployment of successful enterprise-scale systems and services in support of operations and the businesses they supportLeverage AI tools to enhance software development, improve automation, and drive innovation in enterprise applications.Drive improvements to Operational Excellence metrics for our teamTake ownership, step in to help team members as needed, collaborate with team members to identify, and fix technical problemsCreate quality technical and user-facing documentationParticipate in on-call rotationQualifications:BA/BS in computer science, information science, or a related field, or equivalent experience in practice2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience, writing production code in at least one programming languageStrong understanding of software engineering principles and the ability translate domain expertise into applicationsEither Java or JavaScript / TypeScript as a primary coding languageExperience developing APIs and building applications on them in a production environmentExperience with version control (Gitlab / Github) and CI/CD pipelinesExperience with unit and e2e testing on Java or ReactFamiliarity with SQL and database systems and use of REST or GraphQL APIsAbility to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships through outstanding interpersonal and communication skillsDesired:Familiarity with Angular or Python coding languagePrevious use of AWS, Azure, or other cloud infrastructuresCompensation Range for:WA applicants is $134,961.00 - $188,945.40Other site ranges may differCulture StatementDon't meet all desired requirements?
