For more information about KFI Engineers and our culture, please visit OVERVIEW & RESPONSIBILITIESThe Senior Electrical Engineer (IV) plays a key role in the successful execution of projects from start to finish. This individual will provide technical and engineering excellence, as well as successful delivery of work to our customers. The Senior Electrical Engineer (IV) is responsible for a high level of customer satisfaction by ensuring expectations are clearly communicated and managed. The successful candidate will also contribute to a dynamic team environment by being proactive, communicating clearly to all stakeholders, and modeling a highly collaborative working environment. This person will also actively support the business development process, through the writing of proposals and meeting with prospective and current customers.Specific responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:Assists with the design of one or more of the following: power distribution systems (primary requirement), size motor feeders and starters.Supports the design of building power and lighting systems. Includes the design of special systems, such as ground fault, lightning protection, emergency generator, UPS, etc.Prepares engineering documents and equipment specifications to meet contracted scope of work and to ensure application of Electrical Engineering Principles.Assists with performing voltage drop and short-circuit calculations. Perform arc fault analysis.Coordinates work with other departments and project team members as well as contractors.Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONSRequiredBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.Must be legally authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis without the need for work sponsorship now or in the future.Ten plus years of electrical engineering experience.Professional Engineering (P.E.) registration in Ohio, or the ability to obtain Ohio registration via comity are required.Project experience and a working knowledge of Electrical design for building projects.Healthcare design experience, familiarity with FGI guidelines and NFPA 99.Strong electrical design expertise across various industries and processes.Knowledge in both Revit and AutoCAD, or similar drawing prehensive understanding of Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, and Structural Engineering construction -depth knowledge of industry codes and standards (NEC, NFPA, NESC, ANSI/IEEE, NFPA, IBC, Life Safety Code, etc.).Supervisory or people-management experience.Exceptional interpersonal skills to enable effective interaction with Designers, Engineers, and Project Managers.Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required to collaborate effectively with others.Proven ability to build strong client relationships and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Demonstrated leadership and ability to influence stakeholders.Ability to establish rapport and cre
