This job would be in addition to the normal employment and academic requirements of the student's graduate program. Employment in this position would not reduce the work required as part of the graduate program. Job Responsibilities: Weekly Review Sessions - Hours per Week 2 Lead Journal Discussions - Hours Per Week 2.5 Coordinate Meeting of Students and Faculty - Hours per Week .25 Help with Canvas Changes - Hours per Week .25 The effort dedicated to each of these is intended as an estimate and may vary depending on the week but would not exceed the 5 hrs/wk Qualifications Required Qualifications: Current PhD candidate (must have advanced to candidacy by passing preliminary exams) Good academic standing Must have taken NSC 5461 and received a grade of B+ or better Must be organized, accurate, and detail-oriented Skilled at identifying gaps in understanding and tailoring explanations to bridge them effectively Good communication and presentation skills Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Powerpoint), Google Suite (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides) and Zoom Preferred Qualification : Experience using Canvas Independent, self-directed worker.
