As a Construction Project Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind high-impact projects, taking full ownership from kickoff to closeout. You’ll lead with precision, make critical decisions, and keep everything on track, on time, on budget, and above expectations. This is a high-visibility role for a skilled leader who knows how to manage details, people, and priorities—all while building strong relationships with customers and cross-functional teams.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team CoordinationLead the project team (APMs, Assistants, Shipping/Receiving, Project Accountants) through all phases of the projectLiaise with Engineering, Estimating, and Sales to ensure alignmentLead project meetings and provide feedback for staff development and performance reviewsClient Relations & CommunicationServe as the primary customer contactAddress value engineering opportunities and delivery concerns while protecting project goalsManage all project-related communication to ensure timely, accurate responsesFinancial OversightManage and review project budgets, profitability, and financial status with senior managementCoordinate billing and payment tracking with Project AccountantsHandle change orders, negotiate costs, and follow up on outstanding payments and back chargesContracts, Submittals, & Change ManagementEnsure compliance with contract terms, submittal accuracy, and RFI resolutionIncorporate changes via ASIs, Bulletins, and RFIsManage documentation throughout the project lifecycleProcurement, Scheduling & Cost ControlSelect vendors and schedule deliveries to control costsOversee freight, labor, installation coordination, and master keying systemsIssue purchase orders and coordinate with Purchasing for processingProject Progress & CloseoutTrack progress using internal systems and ensure timely closeout, including punch list and final paymentMaintain software proficiency and up-to-date product knowledge to support effective project managementSafetyFollow all safety protocols and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements to maintain a safe working environmentUse proper lifting techniquesPhysical Requirements Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying approximately 100 lbs. utilizing proper lifting proceduresAdditional physical requirements may be needed as duties are assignedMiscellaneousSupport our values in the stand areas of Safety, Customer Focus, Teamwork, Integrity and being a Company of Choice for both employees and customersOther duties as assignedQualificationsBS/BA preferred in construction management, architecture or related field can be substituted for some of the experience requirementStrong competency in computer software and product knowledgeBasic accounting knowledgeExcellent organizational and time-management skillsGood communication skillsDemonstrated leadership skillsTwo to four years as Assistant Project Manager in door and hardware industry or related trade (Required)Reports ToTeam LeaderCompensation The listed pay range reflects the expected base rate for this position; actual compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and cost of living in the assigned market.
