We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Dallas office. This individual will be a motivated professional with 8+ years of experience who will support project execution and design for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) projects with healthcare clients and project types.The ideal candidate will have experience in MEP design and engineering consulting, particularly within the healthcare industry.Support electrical design execution for various healthcare projects under the guidance of senior engineersAssist in project management tasks, including scheduling, coordination, and budgetingPrepare engineering calculations, system layouts, and equipment selections for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systemsAssist in the preparation of cost proposals and project contracts, including add service agreementsParticipate in MEP systems reviews, engaging with code officials, contractors, architects, and clients to drive compliance and quality.Ensure compliance with local, state, and national codes and regulationsCommunicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and contractorsParticipate in quality control reviews of MEP system designs, calculations, and drawingsProvide support to designers and coordinate with multidisciplinary teamsGain experience in managing projects, with the opportunity for career growth into senior-level roles8+ years of experience in MEP design and engineering for healthcare projects within an engineering consulting environmentStrong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systemsExperience with design software such as Revit BIM, AutoCAD, SKM, ETAP, and EasypowerProficiency in national and local building codes, including NEC, State Energy Codes, NFPA guidelines, and FGI guidelinesExcellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively on project teamsA PE license is preferred, but candidates pursuing licensure will be consideredDemonstrated ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary teamStrong verbal and written communication skills and critical thinking abilityWillingness to learn and grow in a project management capacityAt Kimley-Horn, we do things differently.
