ABA - Occupational Therapist - H ApplyRefer a FriendBack Job Details Requisition #: 212550 Location: Philadelphia, PA 19127 Category: OT Salary: $60000.00 - $65000.00 per hour Position Details Position Overview The ABA Occupational Therapist is responsible and accountable for evaluation, coordination and administration of quality occupational therapy services. This position is temporary and will conclude in December 2025. Essential Job Functions u2022 Provide occupational therapy services as prescribed by the physician u2022 Follow policies and procedures and conforms to all applicable patient care standards, licensure regulations and state laws u2022 Provide a written evaluation defining occupational therapy needs, goals and expected outcomes in conjunction with referring physician's Plan of Treatment u2022 Provide a written Plan of Care from the nursing staff to provide continuing care u2022 Carry out appropriate techniques according to identified goals and treatment programs u2022 Participate in coordination of services (including discharge planning), with health care team, physicians, parent/guardians, nurses, and appropriate others u2022 Administer care to ensure safety for the patient u2022 Update self on the patient's clinical condition u2022 Maintain effective communication between staff, health care team members, and family. u2022 Serves as a resource consultant for clinical staff u2022 Provide physicians and Aveanna with written evaluation of patient's needs, goals, and progress on a weekly basis or as ordered u2022 Attends patient case conferences when requested. Attends and participates in in-services as indicated u2022 Supervises other personnel (COTA, HHA) when required Requirements u2022 Occupational Therapy Masteru2019s Degree from an accredited university/program u2022 Certification in Occupational Therapy u2022 Completion of accredited Occupational Therapy Program u2022 Current and unrestricted license in the state of practice u2022 Current CPR certification u2022 Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation and compliance with nursing care and policies and procedures Additional state specific requirements: u2022 Any additional Occupational Therapist licensure board requirements in the state of practice u2022 Continuing Education as required by state Preferences u2022 One (1) year of recent experience as an Occupational Therapist in an acute care setting u2022 Pediatric experience Other Skills/Abilities u2022 Ability to adhere to confidentiality standards and professional boundaries at all times u2022 Attention to detail u2022 Time Management u2022 Effective problem-solving and conflict resolution u2022 Good organization and communication skills Physical Requirements u2022 Must be able to speak, write, read and understand English u2022 Must be able to travel u2022 Must be able to lift 50 pounds u2022 Prolonged walking, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting u2022 Must be able to sit and climb stairs u2022 Must have visual and hearing acuity u2022 Must have strong sense of smell and touch u2022 Must be able to sufficiently reposition patients and move equipment without assistance u2022 Must be able to appropriately respond physically and mentally to emergency situations in the home or during transport Environment u2022 Must be able to function in a wide variety of environments which may involve exposure to allergens and other various conditions u2022 Possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids and infectious diseases Other Duties u2022 Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
