Sr. Accountant

Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in the greater Avon area.. This role is integral to maintaining accurate and efficient financial operations, including assisting with monthly closings and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will excel in managing detailed accounting tasks and demonstrate advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Responsibilities: u2022 Prepare and record journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting. u2022 Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. u2022 Assist with the month-end closing process, including reviewing and analyzing financial data. u2022 Conduct detailed financial analysis to support decision-making and reporting. u2022 Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with accounting standards and procedures. u2022 Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel functions for data analysis and reporting. u2022 Support audits and provide documentation as needed. u2022 Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance efficiency within accounting operations. u2022 Monitor and maintain accurate records of financial transactions Requirements u2022 Proven experience in accounting, with a focus on journal entries and reconciliations. u2022 Strong knowledge of month-end closing processes and financial analysis. u2022 Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex functions and data manipulation. u2022 Familiarity with accounting principles and standards. u2022 Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting. u2022 Strong communication and collaboration skills. u2022 Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively. u2022 Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
