Then you are in the right place...start the application process todaySummary of Position FunctionsThe Manager, Solutions Development & Engineering is responsible for managing internal and external team members in the process of designing construction-ready solar, energy storage and / or vehicle electrification projects. The Engineering and Development Manager will specifically enable success of the solar / energy division through development of quality control processes and validation of engineering principles throughout development, engineering, and active project stages. This role will also serve as the acting authority in design-change decisions and risk mitigation relating to contractual obligations.Essential Position FunctionsServe as the engineering leader and technical expert for projects in the East Region.Answer questions and resolve issues brought forth by the engineering team members.Able to create detailed engineering plans, processes, and procedures for engineering staff to use and abide by.Able to perform job walks in order to gather required site specific project information including necessary electrical switchgear information, potential areas for solar / storage / EV chargers as well as identify potential issues.Propose and oversee budgets and timelines for DER projects.Check and confirm the accuracy of the work performed and the methods used by engineering staff.Conduct various tests and quality assurance checks to verify the quality of completed projects, lessons learned and continuous improvement of designs.Monitor and determine various staffing and training needs.Hire, train, and supervise engineering staff members.Spearhead various research and development initiatives to identify opportunities for new projects and improved municate and collaborate with other managers, sales executives, suppliers, and contractors.Prepare and deliver various engineering-related presentations, both internally and externally.Prepare and deliver budget proposals for.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities10+ years of engineering experience, ideally in a management role in the Distributed Energy space.Analytical and mathematical mind, capable of evaluating and solving various complex problems.Leadership skills necessary to manage and develop a anizational competencies and project management skills to keep projects, processes, and the entire engineering team on track.Self-motivated attitude with the ability to multitask and thrive in a timeline-driven terpersonal communication skills with expertise in distilling complicated topics to a broader audience.Ability to work individually or as part of a team.Educational/Certification RequirementMinimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering.Certificates, Licenses, RegistrationsValid Drivers License.PE License Required.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesDirectly supervises employees in the Engineering and Development department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Veregy's policies and applicable laws.
