Responsible for managing a design team in the development of electrical raceway systems. Interfaces with other disciplines, engineering and construction throughout the life of the project. Manages budget schedules and resources. Our staff leads the power markets engineering process and collaborates with Kiewitu2019s construction teams to approach construction-driven engineering with a focus on safe, cost-effective, and innovative designs that achieve client expectations and further Kiewitu2019s legacy of excellence. Location This position can be based in any of the following office locations: Lenexa, KS; Lone Tree, CO; Houston, TX; Raleigh, NC; Phoenix/Tempe, AZ; New York City, NY; or Woodcliff Lake, NJ. For roles in Chattanooga, TN; Detroit, MI; or Richmond, VA, the position will start remotely and transition to a hybrid/in office arrangement once the new office is established. Responsibilities u2022 Responsible for managing a group of electrical designers in the development of electrical raceway systems u2022 Responsible for managing electrical design activities against project schedule and budget u2022 Tracks and reports on design progression to project management and other members of the project u2022 Completes monthly reports for quantities, schedule and forecasting u2022 Interface with construction to ensure design is safe, constructible, and low cost u2022 Coordinates with other disciplines, engineers and construction on the design u2022 Ability to check design deliverables for accuracy, quality and adherence to department standards u2022 Utilize applicable engineering national and local codes u2022 Coordinates with project team by utilizing the Project Database: Request for Review Process, Holds List, ECN, Request for information from other disciplines, and all other applicable functions u2022 Completes miscellaneous tasks to support project development u2022 Acts as a field resource to assist construction in field resolution on issues u2022 Mentors design team Qualifications u2022 At least 8 yearsu2019 experience in electrical design u2022 Experience leading electrical design teams u2022 Experience managing budget and schedule u2022 Power generation experience, preferred u2022 Experience in SmartPlant 3D u2022 Must be able to conceptualize in a 3D environment. u2022 Ability to work in a growing, adaptive and multi-discipline team environment u2022 Ability to work independently with limited direction and oversight u2022 Strong written and verbal communication skills #LI-SM1 Working Conditions Other Requirements: u2022 Regular, reliable attendance u2022 Work productively and meet deadlines timely u2022 Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment u2022 Perform work safely and effectively.
