Senior Portfolio Accountant - Private Equity (hybrid)

Description We are partnering with a highly respected and growing real estate investment firm to identify a Senior Portfolio Accountant to support its private real estate funds and separate accounts. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys combining technical expertise with collaboration and wants long-term growth within a stable, well-regarded organization. The Senior Portfolio Accountant will be responsible for fund-level accounting, financial reporting, and audit support, while working closely with internal teams and external partners. This position offers broad exposure across real estate portfolios, investor reporting, and international operations. What Youu2019ll Be Doing; + Prepare and review quarterly and annual financial statements for private real estate funds and related entities in accordance with U.S. GAAP + Review property-level financial reports prepared by internal teams and third-party managers to ensure accuracy and policy alignment + Analyze portfolio and fund performance, researching and explaining period-over-period variances + Assist with monthly and quarterly cash flow forecasting for assigned funds and accounts + Track and record capital calls, distributions, and investment-related transactions + Coordinate with internal teams on invoice processing, accruals, and expense allocations + Support annual audits by coordinating with external auditors and responding to requests Requirements What Weu2019re Looking For + BS degree in Accounting (CPA or progress toward CPA preferred) + 3-5+years of experience in real estate, fund, or investment accounting + OR 4+ years of public accounting experience (any firm), with exposure to private equity or real estate clients + Experience preparing consolidated financial statements and supporting audits + Strong Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office + Experience with real estate or fund accounting systems (MRI, Yardi, or similar strongly preferred) + Detail-oriented, analytical, and organized with strong problem-solving abilities + Excellent communication skills and comfort working cross-functionally + Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment Compensation & Work Arrangement + Base salary: $100,000u2013$120,000 Depending on experience. + Annual bonus: up to 15% + Hybrid schedule: 2 days onsite, 3 days remote Why This Opportunity Stands Out + Leadership is invested in developing talent and having future-focused career conversations + Exceptionally strong reputation and long-standing presence in the market + Exposure to international real estate investments + Collaborative, close-knit culture with very low turnover + Growth-oriented environment with ongoing expansion into new markets + Additional perks including professional development opportunities, lunch-and-learns, team events, and social outings.
