Posted Job Title Summer Tennis Instructor Job Profile Title Temporary Employee - Non-Exempt Job Description Summary The Summer Camp Tennis Instructor at the University of Pennsylvania will play a vital role in the Penn Tennis Center camps, serving as an ambassador for the center while promoting both summer camp and fall programs. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about tennis and enjoy working with children in a camp setting. The instructor will work closely with teaching professionals to assist students in developing and improving their tennis skills, focusing on court management and safety. The role also involves implementing game plans established by the teaching professionals, ensuring that campers have a safe and enjoyable experience. In addition to on-court responsibilities, the Summer Camp Tennis Instructor will assist with aftercare duties, which include checking in campers for aftercare and confirming that parents or guardians have signed out each camper. The instructor will supervise both on-court and off-court activities for all campers waiting for pick-up, ensuring a smooth transition for parents and children alike. The instructor will also assist tennis instructors in supervising campers during lunch and other off-court activities, contributing to a well-rounded camp experience. The role requires the instructor to help set up the camp for daily activities and clean up all equipment at the end of each day. This position is part-time, with a work schedule from Monday to Friday, typically from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with potential early drop-off and late pick-up responsibilities.
