Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Memphis, Tennessee. In this role, you will manage a variety of financial activities, including reconciliations and cash management, to ensure the accuracy of our accounting records. Responsibilities: u2022 Perform daily cash posting and ensure accurate recording of incoming funds. u2022 Conduct bank reconciliations to verify account balances and resolve discrepancies. u2022 Handle account reconciliations to maintain the integrity of financial data. u2022 Prepare and review journal entries to support monthly and quarterly accounting processes. u2022 Maintain the general ledger by updating and verifying financial transactions. u2022 Assist in corporate tax activities, including preparing and reviewing tax returns. u2022 Manage sales tax reporting and compliance to ensure adherence to regulations. u2022 Support overall financial operations by providing timely and accurate reporting. u2022 Collaborate with other departments to address accounting-related inquiries and issues. Requirements u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. u2022 At least one year of experience in accounting, with a focus on reconciliations and cash management. u2022 Proficiency in performing bank and account reconciliations. u2022 Strong understanding of general ledger and journal entry processes. u2022 Knowledge of corporate tax and sales tax regulations. u2022 Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve discrepancies. u2022 Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and other departments. u2022 Proficiency in relevant accounting software and tools.
