Adherence to AAPA standards of fifty (50) hoursCategory I, and fifty (50) hours Category II CME every two (2) years.NCCPA Certification. Commitment to culturally competent medical care ofa diverse ethnic population. BCLS required; ACLS encouraged. Ability toestablish, and maintain effective working relationships with other staffand levels. Ability to provide high quality care in a high volume clinicsetting. Demonstrate proficiency in assessment and delivery of familyplanning services to a diverse population. Desirable: Fluency inSpanish, Russian, or Vietnamese Special expertise in provision of healthcare to undeserved, culturally diverse populations PrincipleResponsibilities and Duties: Patient education. Health CareMaintenance/Preventive Health Care. Diagnosis and treatment of acute andchronic illness/ Emergent or timely consultative referral to in-housephysicians or outside specialist. Refugee assessments. After hours callresponsibilities with MD back-up Community outreach and education.Participation in CHC organizational meetings, committees, and qualityassurance activities. Participation in MD/PA clinical reviews every twomonths. Offers comprehensive clinical family planning services thatinclude prevention, personal health and treatment services, tailored tothe needs of the clients. Maintenance of confidentiality.
