Employment Type: Part time Shift: Description: Summary: This position is accountable for assuring hospitalized patients receive high quality nutrition care; educating patients, medical staff, patient care and Nutrition Services staff, dietetic interns, students, and volunteers; and maintaining availability to the public for nutrition concerns. This position also supports nutrition care for outpatient programs at the medical center. Requirements: 1. Bachelor's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics is required. 2. Valid registration with Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) is required. 3. Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC) or Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) is preferred. 4. Age-related knowledge of nutritional needs, effective oral and written communication, proficient computer skills in Word, Excel, and email, an understanding of food service management, and ability to demonstrate effective interaction with all levels of staff is required. 5. Memberships in the California Dietetic Association, Academy of Nutrition and Diabetes, Central Valley District-California Dietetic Association, and in community education group(s) appropriate for specialty area (American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, etc.) are preferred.
