Join us and start your extraordinary journey today.The Payroll Specialist supports the Payroll department by assisting with payroll data entry and integrity, information gathering while responding using payroll ticketing system, and assisting with processing of the weekly and bi-weekly payroll. This role requires independent judgment, and specialized knowledge of wage laws and compliance to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.Perform various pieces of the payroll process to ensure payroll is completed efficiently accurately within the given timeframeAssist managers with timecard issues prior to loading time to ensure that all associates paid correctly and timelyProcess wage garnishments, child support orders, and bankruptcy deductions in compliance with legal requirements, ensuring accurate calculation and timely remittance of garnishments to the appropriate agencies.Process final paychecks in accordance with federal and state regulations, ensuring compliance with state-mandated payout rules.Identify, document, and manage overpayments incompliance with wage laws, including employee notification and repayment agreements.Propose changes that will enhance the overall efficiency of the timekeeping processRespond to all payroll questions timely using the payroll ticketing system (Zendesk)Ensures accurate calculation of wages, bonuses, company deductions, and taxEnsures proper reporting and Prepares statistical reports as needed.Responsible for organization of the payroll inboxProcess and audit all bonus related informationAssess system functionality and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency, internal controls, and service to end usersProvide day to day payroll systems support and help troubleshoot any related issuesCalculate proper paycheck earnings, deductions, accruals, and taxes for various statesRespond to all 3rd party verification of employment requestsAssociates degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources or related Experience may substitute for education.One year Property Management experience preferred but notTwo years Payroll experienceExperience with multi-state payrollPhysical Requirements:May be required to sit for extended periods of timeMay occasionally be required to lift or carry items such as files or office supplies weighing up to 15 poundsMust be able to operate a computer, keyboard, mouse and other office equipmentMust be able to read documents, computer screens and dataMust be able to hear and understand verbal communications in person and over the phone or computerWork Environment:This is a hybrid role, requiring the associate to work in one of our corporate or regional offices 3-4 days per weekThe office is an open setting which may include bright lights, constant noises and distractionsJoin RPM Living and experience exceptional benefits designed to enhance your life.Weekly pay for all associates working onsite at an apartment communityComprehensive healthcare coverage available for all full-time, regular associatesEmployer-paid employee assistance, mental health, and wellness programsAncillary benefits including critical illness, hospital indemnity, and accident insurance401(k) with robust company matchOpportunities for professional development, career growth, and role-based learning plansDiversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) and multiple Employee Resource Groups (ERG)Paid time off plus floating holidays and volunteer daysDiscounted Perks (Costco membership, movie tickets, health & wellness, entertainment & travel discounts)Employment with RPM Living is contingent upon successful completion of a background check as local and federal state requires, and possession of a valid driver's license.RPM Living participates in E-Verify.
