The role is based in our Chatsworth, CA office but flexible remote schedule is available. We are looking for someone to develop and maintain accounting principles, best practices, and systems for collecting, analyzing and reporting information. Must have a strong understanding of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). The Senior Accounting manager will assist with budgets and forecasting. He or she will also be responsible for helping with the audits, and supporting managers across teams with financial procedures and analysis.Responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:Prepare monthly worldwide consolidated financial statements and variance analyses for the company and other internal management reportsManage and supervise general ledger accountants; responsible for day-to-day supervision and leadership and closing process; monitoring deadlines and providing support and coachingReview closing journal entries and reconciliations and ensure financial accounts are properly supported and reconciled on a monthly basisPerform intercompany reconciliations with multiple international subsidiaries in different functional currenciesResponsible for fixed assets accounting including preparation of related rollforward schedules for US GAAP and tax.Maintain, develop and implement accounting processes, procedures and internal controls for continuous process improvementFollow and comply with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles(GAAP) for financial statementsPerform technical accounting research, advise, document and implement appropriate accounting treatment as neededAssist with budget and forecasting activities including budget/forecast to actual variance analyses and other ad-hoc analysesSupport the annual audit process with external auditorsQualifications for this role are:The ideal candidate will have strong analytical, business partnering, organizational, and interpersonal skills with strong knowledge of accounting processes and procedures and US GAAP.Advanced MS excel skillsStrong attention to details and demonstrates effective written and verbal communication skillsExperience with Oracle is requiredAbility to adapt quickly, work independently, take ownership, and work in a flexible team environmentCPA strongly preferred and Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business requiredMinimum 6 to 8 years of progressive accounting experience plus relevant managerial roles, Big 4 public accounting experience a plusSalary Pay Range for this role: $150,000 - $160,000DDN has a very strong orientation towards these 4 characteristics and any successful employee will demonstrate these capabilities:Self-Starter - Takes independent action to identify and solve problems.
