A busy family on Long Island is seeking a fantastic live-in nanny/family assistant for their two children- an 8-year-old girl and 3-year-old boy. This role provides five-day live-in accommodations, and the candidate should be able to return to their own home on weekends. The general schedule is 7:30am-6pm, with some flexibility for later evenings if the parents have work obligations. Both children are in school full-time, so the nanny should feel comfortable handling family assistant duties as needed throughout the day.The live-in accommodations are a private bedroom/bathroom, as well as a separate area on the basement level.This family loves to travel, so willingness and desire to travel is a big part of this role. Candidates should be willing to travel multiple times per year, up to several weeks at a time, both domestically and internationally.Handling the morning routine, getting the children up, fed, and out the door to schoolAccompanying children from school to various after-school activities and playdatesProactively planning developmentallyappropriate outings and activities related to the children's interestsGrocery shopping, running errands, and handling child-related inventoryPlanning and preparing basic meals for the childrenKeeping children's areas organized and tidyManaging the school calendar, researching and booking activities, and scheduling appointmentsPlanning parties and shopping for giftsTravel as needed, domestically and internationallyChild focused and engagingProactive and self sufficient, as the parents are busy professionals who do not micromanageAble to work with multiple children of different developmental stagesOrganized and able to manage schedules and plan activitiesDriver's license and clean record (a car will be provided)US work authorizationDesire for a long-term roleAble to live-in five daysEager and able to travel domestically and internationally$100-120k annually, DOEPTOMedical reimbursement
