Entry Level Systems Engineer/Controls Specialist

You will design, implement, and configure building automation systems, and/or write custom solutions. We support our customers onsite and from our offices, located across the globe. We use cutting edge technology to improve our clients’ sustainability, profitability, efficiency and overall success!Instrumentation & Electrical DesignCreate instrument lists by examining P&ID drawingsCompile submittal and procurement documentation for controls and instrument hardwareProvide technical support for panel fabrication techniciansInspect completed control enclosuresSystem Design and ConfigurationParticipate in customer design review meetingsAssemble development system using project hardware and computersConfigure user interface and HMI screensConfigure DDC, PLC and/or DCS control algorithmsDraft system documentation from templatesAssist is customer demonstrations and acceptance testingOnsite System StartupWorks in a supervised role and/or with a team at a customer siteInstall project software and configuration onto site systemsParticipate in point-to-point loop checksPerform instrumentation and software calibration and tuningParticipate in functional tests of all systemsTroubleshoot installation discrepanciesProgram field modifications as requiredAssist with developing commissioning test plans and documentation updates/redlinesAssist with developing training documentation/presentation on operations and maintenance of systemDegree in a Technical Field, related to Engineering or SystemsExcellent communication and problem-solving skillsAbility to multi-task and handle multiple concurrent projectsPassionate about problem solving and developing solutionsDemonstrated written and oral communication skillsPertinent Experience:Relevant Co-op experienceManufacturing process knowledge or building/facility management knowledgeProgrammable Logic Controller (PLC), Distributed Control System (DCS), and/or Direct Digital Control (DDC) experienceFamiliarity with web development technologiesDesign and Implementation of Relational/Document Databases and Historians (Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Mongo, OSIsoft, etc.)Competitive Base Salary: $80,000-$82,000, depending on experiencePerformance Bonuses: Bonus structure designed to reward resultsTravel Perks: Travel incentives + per-diem packages for field assignmentsFull Benefits Package: Medical, dental, and vision coverageRetirement Ready: 401(k) with company matchTime Off: Generous PTO which includes vacation, holidays, andunlimited personal timeGrow With Us:Ongoing training, certifications, and professional development support
