Full- Time Maintenance Technician - Weekend Shift

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to oversee the critical repair, preventative maintenance, and optimization of our facility’s automated sorting and conveyor systems. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability of hardware, auto-baggers, and material handling equipment while troubleshooting electrical controls.Work Environment:At Duluth Trading Company, we value face-to-face interactions that foster our culture of learning, creativity, and teamwork. The role is based onsite at our Adairsville facility near Atlanta, GA.Shift: Friday - Sunday 6:00AM - 6:30PMWhat You’ll Do:Provide repair and preventative maintenance services for the following but not limited to: Sorter, cameras, hardware, auto baggers, Conveyor systems, balers, and associated controlsFacility related maintenance activities including, but not limited to general lighting, facility inspections and audits, air compressor systems, and emergency or temporary overhead door repairsRepairs to carts, stands, lifts and material handling equipment used in the daily sorting and transporting of products within the facility. This does not include major repairs or preventative maintenance to powered forkliftsAssist with controls support and troubleshooting. Identify Electrical issues. (Replace standard components - Ex: Photo eyes, MDR’s, Proxes, Encoders, plc’s, emergency stops, conveyor belts)Complete preventive maintenance scheduleMaintain spare parts list and inventoryMaintain material handling system on site once system is installedAssist in controls debugTimely completion of all reports and logs to include time reports and travel expensesMaintain consistent positive and enthusiastic attitudeTimely communication of all concerns and issues with the Facilities ManagerPursue professional training and certificationsAble to mentor other maintenance staffMotivate and inspire the Duluth and subcontractor team. Help our subcontractors to be successful and hold them to our standardsDeliver projects on time, under budget, and with high qualityImprove the process with written templates, spreadsheet tools, outstanding lessons learned, etc.Any and all job duties as assigned.What We’re Looking For:High School diploma3+ years of experienceSkilled in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and PLC troubleshooting and repairEnergetic, ambitious, and hard workingMaintain a Positive, can-do attitudeComputer literate, experience with MS Office productsPrevious, electrical, conveying, automation, and distribution center experience desiredA solid understanding of application of contemporary industrial control systems a plusGood verbal and written communication skillsExtremely well organized and great foresight and planning abilitiesExperience in high-speed distribution centers a plusDemonstrated skills in customer serviceMaterial Handling, or Packaging background requiredAuthorization to work in the United States without sponsorshipEnvironmental Factors:Standing or walking for up to eight hours a dayThe average weight of lifting is 25 lbs., Frequently lifting 40 lbs., and occasionally lifting to 70 lbs with a partnerAdjusting or moving objects over 20 lbs. in all directionsFrequently reaching, twisting, and bending in multiple directionsAbility to perform work in tight quarter workstationsModerate warehouse noise levelPush/pull a picking cart and/or pallet of up to five hundred poundsContinuous arm, hand, and wrist movement (i.e.: folding garments)Work in temperatures ranging from 50 - 95 degreesThe ability to walk long distancesThe ability to climb flights of stairs throughout the dayThe ability to stand for long periods of timeAbility to do physical work: lift, climb, reach, carry heavy objectsThe ability to remain in a stationary position, often sanding for prolonged periods of timesMoving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one work area to anotherPosition Benefits and PerksOur pursuit of a better way isn't just about our products—it's about our people too.
