As a Data Center Project Engineer, you will be part of a creative, diverse team tasked with solving fascinating problems in constructing Amazon Data Centers. Our data centers are industry examples of energy-efficient, cost-effective designs. You will work alongside partner teams such as Operations, Networking, Controls, Security, and Commissioning to build Data Centers that directly support our customers. As our Data Center Project Engineer, you will support the teams that build some of the most interesting electrical and mechanical systems in the world. You will be on the construction site daily, interacting with construction managers and stakeholders, and be directly responsible for supporting the fast, high-quality delivery of our data center construction. The Data Center Project Engineer will be part of the onsite Construction Management team and will own the communication coordination with our vendors, information workflow, and coordination of document management, including requests for information (RFI), change orders, reports, and schedule updates. Key job responsibilities The Data Center Project Engineer will be responsible for: u2022 Leading cross-functional communication and coordination between regional general contractors, stakeholders, and internal teams, ensuring seamless information flow for construction protocols, documentation access, and standardized procedures u2022 Developing and maintaining comprehensive tracking systems for design modifications, RFIs, and change orders, creating detailed dashboards with priority levels and deadlines for regional leadership review u2022 Evaluating Method of Procedure (MOP) submissions for thoroughness, necessity, and risk assessment u2022 Managing vendor onboarding processes, including security credentialing and orientation programs u2022 Maintaining current project management software with critical milestone updates, correspondence records, and document control u2022 Coordinating and monitoring owner-furnished material deliveries to ensure timely arrival at construction sites u2022 Establishing and managing a centralized repository for contractor-supplied construction data u2022 Overseeing quality assurance programs through implementation of various checklists, including substantial completion verification, safety protocols, and quality control measures About the team Why AWS Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the worldu2019s most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud platform. The base pay for this position ranges from $86,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $191,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
