Welder I - 2nd shift

A high-precision manufacturing facility in the Round Rock area is seeking a GTAW Welder - Level 1 to join its growing production team. This position focuses on welding and fabricating high-purity stainless steel components for specialized industries including semiconductor, medical, and aerospace. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, takes pride in their craftsmanship, and is committed to producing welds that meet the highest quality standards. Schedule: 2nd shift | Monday - Friday | 3:00pm - 10:00am Pay: $23.00 per hour DOE Key Responsibilities: · Assemble, fabricate, and weld stainless steel process piping systems using the GTAW (TIG) process. · Set up and operate both manual GTAW and automated orbital welding machines. · Weld materials including stainless steel, aluminum, and specialty alloys such as Hastelloy, Inconel, and Titanium. · Perform complete joint penetration welds and fillet welds on tubing and pipe ranging from 0.035'-0.125' wall thickness and up to 6' schedule 40 pipe. · Maintain dimensional and angular tolerances as low as ±0.010' and ±0.5°. · Achieve a rejection rate of 3% or less through consistent quality workmanship. · Interpret blueprints, welding procedure specifications (WPS), and AWS symbols. · Inspect and verify work to ensure compliance with internal and customer specifications. · Record and track daily production operations. · Support continuous improvement, 6S, and safety initiatives. · Assist with general shop upkeep and perform other duties as assigned.
