Services: + Program Consulting + Finance Consulting and Billing Services + Applied Technology + Outsourcing and Operations + Strategy + Project and Grants Management + Assessments and Feasibility Studies Consultant u2013 Human Services Practice Area (Child and Family Services Center of Excellence, Business Development Consulting Focus) We are seeking professionals who are passionate about developing impactful solutions for public sector clients. This position is part of our Human Services Practice Area, specifically supporting the Child and Family Services Center of Excellence, which is dedicated to helping state, county, and municipal agencies improve outcomes for children, families and individuals. Our work spans a broad spectrum of human services programs, including child welfare, childrenu2019s behavioral health, juvenile justice, economic assistance, and public health. We also address the social determinants of health through strategic consulting and programmatic support. This role places a strong emphasis on business development, including identifying and supporting responses to RFPs, drafting white papers and other marketing materials, participation with webinars and presentations, supporting project implementations, and maintaining relationships with state/county partners. Key Responsibilities: u2022 Identify upcoming RFPs, and procurement opportunities for child welfare agencies and adult services agencies across the country. u2022 Track policy changes (e.g., FFPSA, IV-E, Medicaid, Medicare, SSI/SSDI) that may drive new service needs. u2022 Support writing and review of proposals. u2022 Conduct discovery conversations to understand agency pain points (capacity issues, compliance, caseload challenges, audit findings, benefit access gaps). u2022 Produce white papers, webinars, presentations, and policy briefs u2022 Translate technical/operational strengths into compelling, outcomes-focused narratives. u2022 Build and execute pipelines strategies. u2022 Build internal tools: using PowerBI, AI and other tools, capability statements, benefit analysis models. u2022 Support pricing/financial modeling (cost/benefit, caseload projections, staffing requirements). u2022 Participate in data collection activities, including fiscal research and stakeholder reviews. u2022 Facilitate meetings with clients and stakeholders, including finance and program leadership. u2022 Support implementation of new or expanding projects. u2022 Support business process redesign efforts to improve financial and efficiency. u2022 Other responsibilities as needed. Required Skills: u2022 Excellent writing skills, able to translate technical content into persuasive narratives. u2022 Experience leading or contributing to RFP responses. u2022 Proven ability to develop relationships with state/county agency leaders. u2022 Comfortable presenting to executive leaders, program managers, and procurement teams. u2022 Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple active pursuits. u2022 Skill in converting data into insights, projections, and financial decision-support recommendations. u2022 Ability to design operational models, staffing plans, and performance metrics. u2022 Strong pipeline management and opportunity forecasting. u2022 Skilled at leading meetings, workshops, and client discovery sessions. u2022 Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. u2022 Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with PowerBI or other data visualization tools is a plus. u2022 Detail-oriented problem-solving approach with intellectual curiosity and initiative. u2022 Ability to work independently and collaboratively in virtual and in-person settings. u2022 Commitment to delivering exceptional client service and supporting underserved populations. Required Experience: u2022 Education: Bacheloru2019s degree required; Masteru2019s or other graduate degree preferred in public administration, business, finance, social work, or a related field. u2022 Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in management consulting, public finance, government, or child welfare finance. u2022 Demonstrated passion for improving outcomes for children, families and individuals, especially through financially sustainable solutions. #LI-Remote #LI-MB1 The above is intended to describe the general contents and requirements of work being performed by people assigned to this classification. Compensation: Compensation for roles at Public Consulting Group varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, PCG provides a reasonable range of compensation for this role. In addition, PCG provides a range of benefits for this role, including medical and dental care benefits, 401k, PTO, parental leave, bereavement leave. Range: $66,600 - $85,000 PCG does not sponsor newly hired foreign national workers for work authorization, including H-1B sponsorship.
