This role is ideal for someone with research experience who thrives in a collaborative environment, is comfortable managing multiple priorities, and is passionate about improving healthcare delivery and reducing disparities. Key Responsibilities: Project Oversight & Coordination Manage timelines, deliverables, and workflows for multiple research projects Track progress toward study milestones and communicate updates to the principal investigator Coordinate with research collaborators, clinic partners, and administrative stakeholders Assist with IRB submissions, renewals, and reporting Research & Analysis: Conduct literature reviews, including systematic and scoping reviews Support qualitative research activities, including interview guide development, participant recruitment, interviews, and data coding (e.g., using NVivo or Dedoose) Assist with quantitative data collection, management, and preliminary analysis as needed Contribute to drafting manuscripts, abstracts, and reports for academic and policy audiences Team Support & Communication Schedule and facilitate team meetings, including drafting agendas and tracking action items Maintain organized project documentation and shared resources Support dissemination efforts (e.g., slide decks, policy briefs, lay summaries, conference submissions) Foster an inclusive and respectful team culture Qualifications All required qualifications must be on the application materials Required qualifications: At least a B.A. or B.S. in psychology, public health, sociology, anthropology, health sciences, biology, or a related field Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and follow-through Interest in health disparities, communication, and/or health systems research Preferred qualifications: Experience with qualitative research methods, including coding and thematic analysis Familiarity with IRB processes, data use agreements, or grant-funded research Proficiency in qualitative or mixed methods software (e.g., NVivo, Atlas.ti, Dedoose, REDCap) Experience in academic writing or co-authoring peer-reviewed publications Master's degree in a relevant field or equivalent research experience About the Department The Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at the University of Minnesota was created more than 50 years ago in response to a legislative mandate to train primary care physicians. Since then, we have been leaders in transforming the specialty through education, research, and patient care. We are the academic sponsor of seven family medicine residencies-five in the Twin Cities, two in Greater Minnesota.
