FTE: 0.001000 Standard Hours: 0.01 Shift: Shift 4 Shift Details:Rotating shifts, need to meet OPT minimum of 36 hours in a 6 weekschedule period, with at least 12 of those hours on the weekendsHolidays: 1 Major and 1 Difficult to Staff day per calendar yearWeekends: 12 hours per 6 week schedule period Job Summary: Participateswith the interdisciplinary care team in the delivery of the patient'splan of care. Provides hands on patient care and will assist the RN andother team members with treatments, procedures, and reporting pertinentinformation to the appropriate care team member. Performs specificservice and technical duties necessary to provide for the comfort, care,and safety of patients under the direction and supervision of theRegistered Nurse. Assists in maintaining supplies and equipment on thenursing unit. Does not function as a Patient Safety Attendant (sitter).Cannot float to CMH Mental Health Center. Reports to the NurseManager/Assistant Nurse Manager of the assigned unit and the RNs on dutyon each assigned shift. EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: High School diploma orequivalent is preferred. SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION: Good interpersonalskills to interact positively and effectively with patients, visitorsand hospital personnel. Sound communication and writing skills. Mathskills to perform simple arithmetic calculations. Observational andanalytical skills to identify patient changes/problems to prioritize andreact appropriately. Familiarity with PCs and other computerized patientcare tools, or demonstrated ability to learn. LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:State of Wisconsin Nursing Assistant Certification is required.
