SummaryProvides advanced life support care to patients who are ill and/or injured. Ensures adherence to hospital and department policies as well as paramedic scope of practice.Job Description:Baptist Health is looking for a PRN Paramedic to join our EMS team at Baptist Health Floyd, New Albany, INDuties and Responsibilities:- Provides patient care within the medical director approved department protocols and state scope of practice.- Recognizes, responds to, and communicates changes in patient condition appropriately.- Thoroughly and accurately completes all required documentation and patient care reports within required timeframe.- Provides care appropriate to the emergency population and maintains the environment of care.- Performs ambulance transportation services within the scope of practice of a Paramedic.- Sets priorities for the transport of multiple patients.- Assures resources and coordinates plan of delivery.- Maintains knowledge and familiarity with each vehicle in fleet in order to operate smooth and safely.- Assures ambulance is clean, stocked and response ready at the beginning and end of every shift as well as prior to each and every request for service.- Ensures proper vehicle maintenance and equipment readiness as well as proper ALS gear readiness and utilization.Minimum Requirements:- High school diploma or equivalency required.- Active Paramedic license through the Kentucky Board of EMS at time of consideration.- BLS for Healthcare Provider issued by AHA or ARC.- PALS & ACLS certifications.- Other certifications and specialty training as required by the Kentucky Board of EMS.- Valid driver's license.Work ExperienceEducationIf you would like to be part of a growing family focused on supporting clinical excellence, teamwork and innovation, we urge you to apply nowBaptist Health is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
