If so, join our team The Maps Search Platform and Services team is seeking an outstanding Senior Software Engineer to build Search Platforms and fundamental services that power Maps Core Search, Autocomplete, and other services. Description As a Senior Software Engineer in the Apple Maps team, youu2019ll be instrumental in contributing to both the search platform and the product itself. Youu2019ll have the opportunity to innovate on the search platforms, crafting elegant solutions within distributed systems. Collaborating closely with development and product teams, youu2019ll build seamless solutions that work across the entire Apple ecosystem. Additionally, youu2019ll participate in design and code reviews, working alongside engineers and QA to deliver a high-quality search experience to our customers. Minimum Qualifications + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent practical experience + 7+ years of hands-on software engineering experience at Principal IC level. + Experience in building search related services. + Expertise in one or more modern programming languages, such as Java, C++, Python. + Experience on collecting high-level requirements and translating them into pragmatic solutions. + Demonstrated success in working with cross-functional teams including parters, product management, business teams. + Solid interpersonal and communications skills, with proven ability to translate complex technical concepts and roadmaps to diverse audiences. Preferred Qualifications + Masteru2019s or PhD in Computer Science or related fields + Understanding of search indexing and ranking algorithms + Experience in high throughput, low latency distributed systems.
