Here's how a(n)Accountantfor ourNassal office contributes to our team: u200b Responsibilities + Performs clerical and data entry support to meet contractual requirements for operational and basic accounting. + Processes all accounts payable and accounts received in a timely and accurate manner. + Provides project teams with ad hoc reports and analysis as the need arises. + Participates in year-end procedures as assigned. + Assists with the assembly of information for internal and external financial reporting requirements. + Assembles client billings packages in accordance with contract terms and conditions and ensures timely payment. + Prepares bank deposits and cash receipt entries. + Effectively communicates with internal and external stakeholders, as required. + Collects and obtains approval and processes through PCL business systems all accounts payable and accounts receivable in a timely and accurate manner tomeet all contract payment terms as per legislation, contract terms, and PCL policy and procedures. Qualifications + Bacheloru2019s degree or diploma in a related field is considered an asset. + Some student experience or 6 months to 1 year of accounting or administrative experience is preferred. + Exposure to project forecasting and budgeting. + Introductory knowledge of construction industry; understands general construction terms and processes. + Basic understanding of accounting principles, including maintenance of ledgers and cash flows. + Exposure to project costing principles, recoveries, insurance, and contract/subcontract requirements as related to accounting + Exposure to subcontract purchase order terms, including insurance and subcontractor default insurance requirements. + Basic understanding of lien rights. + Strong organizational skills and high level of detail orientation with the ability to accurately prepare and enter financial information to meet deadlines andrequirements. + Ability to act with the required discretion when handling confidential information. + Understanding of Microsoft Office Suite and experience with accounting software is an asset. u200b PCL is an innovative, employee-owned company comprised of people who find passion in their profession and take pride in doing great work every day.
