Your role and responsibilities RF Engineer with 5+ years of experience and a strong background in RF/microwave transceiver design and development. This is a hands-on role ideal for an engineer who thrives in lab settings and is excited about advancing cutting-edge SatCom user terminal technologies.Acts as the primary point of contact for the Agency for contract and operations needs and issues with authorization to make management-level decisions regarding the contract. Duties may include, but not limited to: Ability to work in a laboratory environment, including handling, assembling, and testing RF components. Design, simulate, and model RF front-end systems in collaboration with systems architects and cross-functional engineers. Develop hardware specifications for RF systems and components, guiding functional design. Design and test RF/microwave circuits, circuit boards, and production-ready packages. Identify, evaluate, and validate new RF components for prototype and production use. Perform hands-on characterization and performance analysis of RF radios and components. Develop and support automated test equipment and scripts for lab measurements using Python. Ensure design compliance with system and performance requirements through qualification testing. Required technical and professional expertise Technology Strategy Development: Experience with creating strategic plans for technology adoption and implementation, considering business goals and technical feasibility. This includes evaluating emerging technologies and making recommendations for integration into existing systems. Advanced Technical Frameworks: Experience in designing and implementing complex technical frameworks and infrastructure, focusing on scalability, robustness, and efficiency in large-scale digital product development. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experience working with multiple stakeholders, including business leaders, product managers, and engineering teams, to ensure solutions meet business goals and technical requirements. Must hold and have the ability to maintain TS/SCI clearance Preferred technical and professional experience Experience with DOORS and Rhapsody or a similar tool Agile, Kanban Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to interface with the customerIBM is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
