PositionSummary Responsible for tasks in relation to receiving and/orreplenishing pet food and accessory products utilizing voice pickingequipment. Separate, put away and ensure accurate inventory of product.Rotate product that has expiration dates. Responsible for maintainingaccuracy while receiving and replenishing. Expected to be able toperform all aspects of the job as described below in addition to theduties of Warehouse Associate 1 and Warehouse Associate 2. Areas ofResponsibilities Inspect merchandise to ensure only quality product isused to complete the order. Accurately review counts of all incomingshipments. Record shortages and reject damaged items. Receive incominggoods by unloading trucks and shipping containers. Assist the inventorydepartment in completing cycle counts, as needed. Meet production,quality, and accuracy levels as established by business unit. Attentionto detail and ability to work under pressure in a deadline drivenenvironment. Perform all other duties as assigned. Essential JobFunctions Receive food and/or accessory products and put away completelyand accurately. Move items from overstock areas to picking locations.Maintain regular and punctual attendance. Work extended hours, asrequired by operational needs. Flexibility to work in other areas anddepartments, as needed. Must be able to cross train in otherdepartmental areas. Maintain a clean workplace to avoid tripping hazardsor other accidents. Follow all food safety policies and proceduresincluding performing daily, weekly and monthly cleaning assignments andrelated activities as directed. Promote a safe work environment byfollowing facility and company safety guidelines. Ability to work in aconstant state of alertness and safe manner. Ability to effectivelycommunicate with manager and co-workers. Ability to comprehend andcarryout simple instructions. Safely operate and become certified in useof electric pallet jack, walk-rider, forklift and/or other requiredequipment. Education and Experience Able to perform and meetqualifications for Warehouse Associate 1 and Warehouse Associate 2. 2 ormore years related warehouse experience, preferred. Previous forkliftcertification and Voice picking (Vocollect)/RF scanner experiencepreferred. Ability to count and perform basic math. Physical DemandsAbility to safely lift and move up to 50 pounds, and able to stand andwalk for long periods of time. Ability to meet deadlines and work underpressure. Working Conditions The warehouse is a non-climate-controlledfacility. The outside temperature generally reflects the insidetemperature with little air circulation. Must be able to work in awarehouse environment with exposure to dust. Must be able to wear safetyglasses, safety vest and any other personal protective equipment asrequired for the facility/work area (i.e., gloves, safety shoes). Thisjob description is not intended to be all-inclusive and other duties maybe assigned from time to time.
