Power BI Developer

Description We are looking for an experienced Power BI Developer to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Cincinnati, Ohio. This role requires a self-motivated, detail-oriented individual who can effectively manage projects from inception to completion, collaborating with users to transform concepts into actionable insights. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise and be eager to contribute to meaningful data-driven solutions. Responsibilities: u2022 Design and develop robust data models and reports using Power BI to meet business needs. u2022 Implement and manage Power BI access controls and security measures to ensure data integrity. u2022 Write complex queries across diverse databases, including SQL Server, MongoDB, and others. u2022 Extract and integrate data from APIs to enhance reporting capabilities. u2022 Lead project efforts independently, managing timelines and deliverables with limited supervision. u2022 Collaborate directly with stakeholders to translate ideas into actionable reports. u2022 (Preferred) Build and maintain data warehouses to support advanced analytics and reporting. u2022 Stay updated on the latest Power BI advancements and apply them to enhance reporting solutions. Requirements u2022 Proficiency in Power BI, including data modeling and report creation. u2022 Comprehensive understanding of Power BI security features and access controls. u2022 Advanced skills in writing queries for various databases such as SQL Server and MongoDB. u2022 Experience in pulling and integrating data using APIs. u2022 Highly self-driven with the ability to manage projects independently. u2022 Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with end users and stakeholders. u2022 (Preferred) Knowledge of data engineering practices, including data warehouse creation and maintenance. u2022 Familiarity with programming languages such as .NET, C#, ASP.NET, JavaScript, and the .NET Framework.
