Learn about the Trident II D5 Fleet Ballistic Missile. Lockheed Martin (LM) is looking for a dedicated Systems Engineer to become a member of the Safety Integration Team. As a Surety Integration Engineer , you will: u2022 Integrate cross-program safety disciplines into the architecture, requirements, and design of the next-generation Sea-Based Strategic Deterrence such that Surety is integral to the overall system u2022 Oversee the implementation of Safety into the design and build across disciplines, ensuring no Safety escapes across the system u2022 Ensure adherence to Nuclear Safety, Range Safety, and Personnel Safety requirements and best practices, and oversee the verification and test campaign to show compliance u2022 Ensure integration of Surety products such as Hazard Analyses, Fault Tree Analyses, and similar products to ensure full Surety coverage across the system throughout the entire lifecycle u2022 Ensure integration of multiple program disciplines to understand complex issues and develop a Nuclear Missile Surety that ensures the integrity of the Nuclear Surety Philosophy u2022 Support Operational Safety Studies (OSRs) and Special Safety Studies (SSS) u2022 Ensure integration of safety disciplines into cross branch problem investigations, coordinating with Navy partners and SPP Headquarters u2022 Generate & Review Project material for Support Equipment and Missile Alterations Projects u2022 Facilitate interaction among program safety stakeholders, including facility, material, explosive, range safety disciplines Basic Qualifications: u2022 Ability to lead multi-functional teams, build strong relationships with team members and build consensus among peers u2022 Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build solid relationships with team members u2022 Knowledge and application of Systems Engineering processes and one or more Systems functions such as: a) System Safety Engineering b) System Fault Protection (Fault Isolation, Detection, and Recovery) c) System Integration, Test, and/or Verification d) Test planning and execution with an understanding of safety related testing u2022 US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance Desired Skills: u2022 Experience with DoD missile systems u2022 Experience working to MIL-STD-882E u2022 Experience coordinating with multiple engineering functions (Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, Flight Sciences, Materials, Manufacturing, Test, etc.) u2022 Missile or space segment design and test experience with one or more subsystems or fields outside of Systems Engineering u2022 Active DoD security clearance Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $128,400 - $226,435. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidateu2019s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
