ILUS - Installation Quality Control Specialist I

Provides expertise and develops solutions to electrical and mechanical technical problems during the planning, installation, and final testing phases of an automated material handling project.Audits activities and develops punch lists of electrical/mechanical contractors during and at close out of installation; develops electrical/mechanical check lists for on-site installation progression and pre-volume testing phasesInspects electrical/mechanical installation to ensure that equipment and parts are complete and operational according to engineering plansExecutes on-site checkout and testing after controls implementation in preparation for turnover to customer; ensures systems are fully functional and meet the description of operationPrepares and distributes daily site reports and other documentation during on site executionEnsures on-going communication with the internal project team throughout commissioningInspects and tests implementation of Programmable Logic Controllers to ensure automated equipment meets project scope requirementsShort notice travel may be required when schedule or resources are requiredTravels up to 90%High School Diploma or equivalent1-5 years of material handling industry experience, preferably with distribution centers and warehouse automationMechanical & electrical maintenance and/or installation experience a plusBasic knowledge of Allen-Bradley controls/controllersBasic working knowledge of CAD drawings, electrical schematics, or other engineering diagramsBasic knowledge of mechanical and electrical principles of industrial automationBasic knowledge of safe industrial work practices including Lockout-Tagout and OSHA 10Basic problem solving skillsBasic Computer Skills - MS Teams, Word, Excel, Email, and Video Conferencing,Basic administration skills (commissioning reports, timecards, and expense reports)Basic written and oral communication skillsAbility to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail and deadlinesTeam-oriented and collaborativeCreative thinking and problem-solving skillsSelf-motivated and detail orientedAbility to work long (12 hour) shifts on construction sites
