Lead Custodians must aid in the oversight of all custodial work.This role pays an hourly rate of $17.12-$17.98 (per CBA).Benefits as per the union agreement.This position will remain open until April 17, 2026.PeoplesBank Arena is Connecticut’s premier destination for sports & entertainment. PeoplesBank Arena will continue to be the center of sports and entertainment for Hartford and the State of Connecticut for years to come.Assists in the training, coaching, and supervision of custodial staffMust have reliable transportation to and from work and arrive for each scheduled shift on time, in uniform and ready to workAbility to work morning, afternoon and/or overnight shifts, including weekends and holidaysAbility to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.Ability to stand on feet for up to 8 hours at a time, to kneel, stoop, climb stairs and reach above head as well as perform repetitive motions in connection with cleaning tasksAbility to follow verbal instructions & read written instructions especially relating to cleaning products & SDSPerforms light and heavy cleaning tasks including, but not limited to, cleaning bathrooms, locker rooms, sweeping, mopping, disposing of garbage, etc.Restocks restrooms with suppliesWorks safely, quickly, and efficiently to meet all deadlinesMaintains a positive, outgoing demeanor and acknowledges guests in a friendly mannerPossesses basic computer skillsAll other tasks assigned by Supervisor2 years cleaning or event related experience requiredPrior lead or supervisory responsibilities preferredBasic understanding of how to use cleaning equipmentAbility to operate scrubbers, buffers, carpet extractors, etc.Basic understanding of SDSBasic understanding of PPEAt OVG, we understand that to continue positively disrupting the sports and live entertainment industry, we need a diverse team to help us do it.
